Who is behind cosmetiFULL
Claudio Nicodemo
30 years in hair and beauty, and the jobs along the chain one after the other: the chair in a salon, the shop counter, the customs paperwork, the brief to the factory, the label. The cosmetiFULL apps are built on all of it.

I started at fifteen, as an apprentice in a salon. The school was a hundred kilometres from the village near Venice where I grew up, two buses and a train, once a week. Six years behind the chair, then an instructor diploma and technical training for international brands. In 2004 I moved abroad, took over a professional hair products store and put it back on its feet, and from there went into wholesale across Europe, where I learned customs and margins the expensive way.
Private label came last, and that is the whole point: it asks for everything the trades before it teach.
The marketing has to exist before the product does. The name, the claim, the colours and the words on the front are settled at the moment the label is drawn, and at that moment the label is already a legal document. Each of the jobs along that chain is a career on its own, which is why most people in this sector master one of them. Doing them one after the other took years and cost me money. What it left is the thing I use every day now: I can look at a project from every side at once, and see where it will break before anybody has spent anything on it.

The 73 guides on this site come out of that work, and so do the apps. When one of them states a legal obligation, the rule is taken from the text of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and its annexes, and from the acts that amended them, with the article number next to the sentence. A safety assessor can take any rule here and check it against the article it cites, word for word. That is the reader I write for.
cosmetiFULL is that work written into software, for beauty brand owners, cosmetic manufacturers and safety assessors. Two of them are open today. LabelCheck: you paste in a label and it comes back read point by point against the European rules, while the artwork is still on a screen and a wrong word costs a keystroke instead of a print run. You can put one of your own labels through it. And ExpertDesk, for the regulatory question you would put to a colleague who happened to know that exact part.
Write to me. I read and answer the messages myself, and a question about a product you are actually working on gets a better answer than a general one.
