What this site does with data

You read the pages, and that is all this site asks of you. The typefaces are served from our own server, and the site sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and keeps no visitor statistics until you answer the box about Meta’s pixel on the LabelCheck page, where our ads lead: your answer is kept in one cookie of ours, and only if you accept does the pixel run and set its own. The one thing we count, anonymously, is how often the purchase buttons on cosmetiLEARN author pages are pressed. That holds for every version of the site that goes out.

This page covers this website, nicodemoclaudio.com and our YouTube channel, with the internal tool we use to look after it. What happens to your data inside our software is set out on the Trust page and in the privacy policies of LabelCheck, ExpertDesk and the cosmetiFULL platform.

On this page

Who you are dealing with

cosmetiFULL is operated by Nicodemo & Signa Company Srl, registered in Romania, trade register J02/809/2003, VAT RO15617609, registered office Strada Lucian Blaga nr. 21, ap. 16, 310023 Arad. For everything on this page, that company is the controller, and you can reach it at info@cosmetifull.com.

What happens when you open a page

A page has to find its way to you, so your device tells our host where to send it. Cloudflare serves this site and handles that exchange: your IP address, which page you asked for, when, and which browser, plus what it takes to keep the site standing. Those details go into the technical logs of Cloudflare’s network. For the logs it keeps for us, Cloudflare is our processor: it keeps them for as long as it needs them to deliver and protect the service it provides us, and not beyond the end of our contract with it, unless the law requires it to keep them longer. The legal basis is legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f). Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States: the transfer rests on Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795, in which the European Commission recognises an adequate level of protection for organisations certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and Cloudflare is one of them. Cloudflare also uses what it learns from this traffic for purposes of its own, such as running, protecting and improving its network and compiling aggregate statistics, and for that part it is a controller in its own right, under its own privacy policy, which lists those purposes and explains how long it keeps that data. Everything the page needs comes from our own address, typefaces included, so nobody else learns you were here. Until you answer the box about Meta’s pixel, described below, the site sets no cookies and uses no browser storage, which is why most pages open with no consent box in the way. On cosmetiLEARN author pages we also count, anonymously, how many times each purchase button is pressed: only the day, the author, the book and the shop, with no personal data about readers, no cookies and no IP address stored.

The founder’s personal page

This notice also covers nicodemoclaudio.com, the personal page of Claudio Nicodemo, who founded cosmetiFULL, and the company named above is its controller too. Cloudflare serves that page the same way it serves this site, with the same technical logs, on the same legal basis and under the same transfer decision. It is plainer than this site: it has no advertising pixel, everything it needs comes from its own address, and it opens with no consent box in the way, because it sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and keeps no visitor statistics. The address it invites you to write to, claudio@cosmetifull.com, is one of the five in the next section.

If you are a cosmetiLEARN author

Your page in the cosmetiLEARN library shows your name, your role, your biography, your public channels, your photo if you send it to us, and the details of your books. You write or approve the texts yourself, in your own language; the versions in the other nine languages are written automatically by an artificial intelligence system, and an automatic check verifies the technical and legal terms. We publish it to introduce you and your work to readers; with your name, photo, biography and books we also introduce you in other parts of cosmetiLEARN on the site, such as the home page, and on our channels (posts, newsletters, events), always to talk about cosmetiLEARN. The legal basis is our contract with you, Article 6(1)(b). The details you change are kept in the cosmetiLEARN app, on Cloudflare, our processor, together with their earlier versions, so every published text has a known origin. When someone opens your page, the site lays those details over it and tells the app only which page and which language. When you edit your page, by hand or with the assistant, or ask us to add a book, that happens inside the cosmetiFULL platform, and the platform’s privacy policy is the one that applies. Your page stays online for as long as our contract lasts. When you ask us to take it down, we erase your details and their history, rebuild the site without your page and without you in the other parts of cosmetiLEARN, and ask search engines to refresh their copy; the database keeps a recovery copy for 30 days, and then that is gone too. To stop the page from being published again by mistake, we keep a fingerprint of its identifier, without your name: the details, including how long, are in Article 7.12 of the platform’s privacy policy. We take down the posts in which we introduced you if you ask us to.

If you write to us

Five addresses are published here: info@, press@, partners@, security@ and claudio@. Mail for cosmetifull.com is carried by Proton, in Switzerland, a country the European Commission recognises as offering an adequate level of protection. What you write reaches a person, and that person answers. We keep the exchange for as long as the conversation and whatever comes out of it need it. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) when you are asking about a service, and Article 6(1)(f) when you are asking anything else.

Our YouTube channel and the YouTube API Services

Our tutorial videos are also on our YouTube channel, the one linked at the foot of this site. To publish them and keep them up to date we use an internal tool built on the YouTube API Services, and only the owner of our channel uses it, after signing in once with the channel’s Google account. The tool works on our own channel: it uploads our videos, writes their titles, descriptions and tags, sets their thumbnails, our own caption files and whether each video is public or private, and keeps one playlist per language. To do this it reads the details of our channel and of our videos, playlists and caption tracks. It keeps two things: the sign-in token, in the keychain of the owner’s computer, and the identifiers of our videos and playlists, each with the version of our file it comes from, on that computer and in our private repositories on GitHub. The owner also runs the tool through Claude Code, the artificial intelligence coding assistant made by Anthropic, which reads what the tool prints about our videos, such as their identifiers, titles and status; the token stays in the keychain. We do this to publish our own tutorials, and the legal basis is legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f); we keep these details for as long as we look after those videos. What we publish goes to YouTube, a Google service, and Google handles it, together with your visit when you watch our videos or follow that link, under the Google Privacy Policy. The person who gave the tool access can remove that access at any time from the Google security settings page, and can ask us at info@cosmetifull.com to delete what the tool keeps: we do it within 7 days. That deletion covers our own records; videos and the channel on YouTube are deleted on YouTube itself, for example in YouTube Studio. Questions or complaints about how the tool handles data go to the same address.

Measuring our ads, if you accept

Our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to the LabelCheck page, and there a box asks whether you accept Meta’s pixel. The two buttons, Accept and Reject, are the same size, and the pixel runs only if you accept. From then on your browser tells Meta when you view a page of this site or of our sign-up page on app.cosmetifull.com, when you click a link to the sign-up page, such as «Try for free», and when you send the sign-up form; with each step go the address of the page and of the page you came from, your IP address, your browser’s details and the identifiers in Meta’s cookies. We have switched off the pixel’s own reading of buttons and forms, and its automatic matching of form fields is off, so what you type in the form is not sent to Meta; a check runs every night and alerts us if that setting is switched on. Meta can link these steps to your Facebook or Instagram account, if you have one, so that we can see which ads bring people who sign up and Meta can show our ads to people like them. These steps go from your browser straight to Meta and stay there: what we read are Meta’s reports on how our ads perform. The legal basis is your consent, Article 6(1)(a), which Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC also requires for storing and reading information on your device, cookies included. For collecting and sending these data, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and our company are joint controllers: Meta publishes the essence of our arrangement, its Controller Addendum, at facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum, and you can exercise your rights over this part with either of us, with us at info@cosmetifull.com or with Meta through the contacts in its Privacy Policy. When Meta measures our ads for us, it acts as our processor under its Data Processing Terms (Article 28); what it does with the data afterwards for its own purposes it decides as a controller in its own right, under that Privacy Policy. Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795 recognises as adequate. Three cookies are written on this site: cf_consenso, ours and the one needed to remember your answer, keeps it for 6 months on cosmetifull.com and its subdomains, app.cosmetifull.com included; _fbp, Meta’s, recognises your browser for 90 days; _fbc, Meta’s, written when you arrive from one of our ads, keeps the identifier of that click for 90 days. With each step your browser can also send Meta the cookies Meta keeps on facebook.com, which is how Meta recognises your account. Meta’s pixel can also write a few entries in your browser’s local storage on this site, for example lastExternalReferrer, which notes whether you came from Facebook, Instagram or another site. You can change your answer at any time from Cookie settings at the foot of every page of this site. If you withdraw, the pixel stops, on this site and on our sign-up page, and its cookies are deleted; the entries in local storage are no longer read or sent, and they disappear when you clear the site’s data. Withdrawal counts from that moment on, so what was sent before it stays lawful. If you reject, the only cookie written is the one that keeps your answer, and everything works just the same, sign-up included.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask to see what we hold about you (Article 15), to correct it (16), to have it erased (17), to restrict how it is used (18), to receive it in a portable form (20), and to object to processing that rests on legitimate interest (21). Write to info@cosmetifull.com and you will have an answer within one month, which is what Article 12(3) allows us. If you would rather raise it elsewhere, the Romanian supervisory authority is ANSPDCP in Bucharest, and Article 77 also lets you go to the authority where you live or work.

Exercise one of the rights above

Write to info@cosmetifull.com. The company named at the top of this page reads it and answers you within the month Article 12(3) allows.
